stock transmission holding power??

Hey guys I have pretty much stock transmission other then the addition of a ATS five star converter and Spartan TCM how much power do you think is safe to run through it before I need a full transmission? also I noticed that suncoast sells rebuild kit that come with all new clutches, steels, and a TransGo shift kit. would that be a worth while investment??

My truck made it a long time, after 45k miles and repeat massive abuse it finally broke. It took alot more abuse than I would have imagined, most of those whom have broken there transmissions have been beat to hell and back. I know my truck made 50 plus 4WD launches at the track on fuel and nitrous rolling on 35" Toyos without a hitch. It was 6 months later that the tranny finally crapped out. I went back with a Suncoast and I have been very happy with it so far!

alright well sounds like shes got a little life left why fix something that aint broken?? when it blows up ill go suncoast with my ATS converter..which in case anyone is wondering its awesome never tried suncoast but cant really see how it could be better

quick question! do the spartan race tunes defuel the truck if a trans slip is detected?

My truck lasted exactly one run down the 1/4 mile with the 310 tune. A week later she was dead, and still is dead!...lol I have about $4k worth of Sun Coast parts sitting in my office waiting to be installed. Sun Coast is supposed to have a few new parts available for out trucks but those parts have been "two weeks out" for over a month now. I'm thinking about moving on with what I already have.

FWIW, I had some bad wheel hop on my pass with the 310 and I'm running on 37's. I believe that had a lot to do with the death of my stock trans.
