Exhaust smell after tuning

I run the 210, and wow, it will almost choke you to be around the exhaust on my truck. I have had other diesels, and never had one stink so bad. Anybody else's truck nearly choke them out? It is to the point that if I am idling, I don't roll my window down.

I want to say you get used to it. I noticed it at first but now don't even smell it.

Your signature doesn't state that your DPF has been removed. If your are still running the DPF, the exhaust will be quite strong during a regen. Just a thought!

You're probably just not used to it... Ya, it smells a lot more like a diesel truck once you delete it, but I drove a '96 7.3 today and that had a lot stronger odor to it than my truck has... I guess it's the same thing as the exhaust smell of a new Prius vs. that of a '60s muscle car

My truck smelled terrible with whatever Motorcraft oil my dealer put in it, but as soon as I made the switch to Valvoline 5W40 full synthetic....it smells like a diesel should smell.
