Black Smoke!
I have a 2008 F350 Dually 6.4 with Edge CTS AFE exhaust dpb cat/DPF delete and banks cold air intake and was wondering how to get that black smoke to boil like I see a lot of other diesels doing?

You have to get rid of the DPF and DOC (Cat) to get black smoke. With the DPF/DOC intact, you won't get any smoke...unless your DPF is blown through, which is not good.
EDIT - Whoops, didn't notice you already had a DPF delete on your truck. You will need a tuner that gives high horsepower tuning options. The CTS does not provide high horsepower tuning options. |

Sorry its a little off topic but are there any options for tuners for the 6.4 that are adjustable on the run like the DP tuner or the edge? Because I love my SCT but I wish I could change it on the fly

Thats what edge says and no they are not proven but i can tell you that i am learning a lot from this website. i am afraid if i added more hp i would need to upgrade tranny. this CTS Edge is new this year according to what i read and in level 4 from a dead start coming out of 1st gear it seems to slip but if i am doing a rolling start say 20mph then it doesnt slip. I dont know what the hell i'm doing but i am trying to learn thanks for the help.

haha Well good thing you're learning. The Edge products are fine if you take it real easy on the truck. The 5R110 is a pretty stout transmission. With custom tunes it should slip less.
