New Air Intake and the check engine light is on

I just istalled a new air intake last night and the check engine came on driving to work. Anyone know what is causing this?

That is why there is a check engine light. Some intakes do not throw them (S&B), but others like the AFE and Airaid will cause a check engine light.

Will it hurt anything to run it like this? and I am guessing the only fix is to purchase a tuner.

Yea, a tuner is the way to go. It will probably go off eventually with a few key cycles, or at least mine did. But will come back.

I have AFE and it did the same, but it goes off and on.
