sct or spartan?

I'm not sure which tuner to get, its either the spartan w the 310 tune or sct w innovatives new custom tunes? Also anyone know whats the quietest muffler I could get???? Thannk you

You realize this thread will start a whole lot of bashing and praising? Truth be told these two are very closely matched for performance as Inovative write's some excellent tunes! The difference is price my friend! With Spartan you can spend [B]A LOT[B] of money! However the device displays more parameters on a better screen as the SCT is a little Mickey Mouse! So if you want the power cheap go with the SCT! If you want the power with guages and monitoring go with the Spartan! Oh ya forgot, Spartan will want another small fortune for a TCM as well! I'm trying my best to remain neutral here but its hard! Bottom line is these are both excellent tuners from very reputable companys!
As for a quiet muffler, most of us are running straight pipe as the two turbos baffle the noise so much! These things sound like hair dryers!

I look at the support that goes with the product, ie how fast it takes to get a response, follow up etc.

I run the AFE exhaust WITHOUT the muffler and it does have the hair dryer sound at idle but sound good under throttle. You can only hear the sound outside of the cab though so it isn't annoying inside. Jeff on here was running the same system with the muffler and said it was tooo quiet and took his muffler off.

I would say its less of a question of SCT and Spartan and more of H&S and Spartan. H&S and Spartan are the top two 6.4 tuners. You cant go wrong with the spartan or the h&s tuner they are both great products. There is a reason you dont hear much on here about sct anymore.

I'll try running without a muffler and if I dont like it I'll just throw a muffler on. Do the dpf delete pipes only come in 3.5 inch also?

With spartan do I need the transmission module or whatever it is?

You can get delete pipes in 4" and 5"

Since your truck is a Job 1, yes I would suggest getting the Spartan TCM if your going to run the 310 tune.
