Back to Dodge!

Just on the weekends. I buying back my 2007 5.9 I sold in March 2008. My buddy I'm buying it back from from put some $$$$$$ into it. He did a full DTT 48re,Smarty,Silver 62,FASS,90 nozzels and studs. It should be alot of fun to drive. The best part is when I sold it it had 5,200 miles and now it has 10,320.

It's just a 2wd so I'll leave it as is. I like it looking like a sleeper. He put it on a dyno last month and it layed down 661/1433. It will leave my 6.4 pretty easy from a roll.

i thought the 6.4's were smoking all the old 5.9 Cummins. Doesn't really matter but was curious.

A 5.9 truck with a built 48re is FAST. If it has a Smarty, Air Dog/FASS, intake, and exhaust and a decent single turbo (62-66 mm), it will run low 13's to high 12's on fuel.

If you put them up tuner vs tuner the 6.4 will but put $8,000.00 in a 5.9 and it's a little different. I've had 9 Dodges and 2 Duramaxs since 2001 and deep down I still bleed Cummins Blue. I love my Ford because it's built so much better than the Dodge but you put crazy power through the Cummins and drive it 200,000K with no worries. A built 48re will always be my favorite tranny. Alot of the most powerful GM's are swapping in 48re's from what I hear.

Just curious, who makes the 48re? Is that a aftermarket tranny?

We have acquired a 2005 Dodge 2500 4x4 5.9L Cummins and are looking to do a similar setup, about how much do you think she is putting to the ground?
