Dash Daq gone gray???

This just started about a week ago. During the daytime I can hardly read the screen. I have to get closer than a foot to be able to read it. I haven't checked for a brightness adjustment on the dash daq but I haven't changed anything. Anybody have any ideas... TIA

Larry

LOL, I've spent 2 years building a 82" sporty motor. The last time on the dyno it made 140 hp at 7200 rpm. The last run it blew up.. Crank bearing failure. Took 6 months for S+S to warranty the cases since they put the bottom end together. Haven't decided which event's I'll be making this year. I'd like to make Speed Week and the Bub Meet for motorcycles. My first meet this year will be in May at El Mirage Dry Lake.

The DD has a light sensing eye, mine went bad awhile ago, and did this exact same thing. It has an Automatic mode for the brightness. I can no longer use that mode, I just set the brightness manually. I am guessing you have the same problem. I sent mine in for repairs to DrewTech, but even after they sent it back it was still not working. On the repair report, it said they corrected bad solder joints to the eye, but it didn't fix it

That makes sense. In the early morning hours going to work in the dark it's fine. I'll have to look for the brightness setting. I might call them and see how long to fix and get back. This unit is less then 6 mos. old. I'd hate to need to put it back to stock and not have the dash daq. Thanks
