My experience with Spartan
When I learned about the Spartan tuner on this forum I couldn't wait to get one and put it on my truck. I received my spartan, S&B intake and dpf/cat delete a couple of days ago and started putting it on right away. Now I was a little hesitant about the delete pipe cause I was still trying to get some warranty work done so I put the intake on and was told on this forum that I could install the spartan without doing the delete pipe and just run the dpf on tunes. Well thats just what I did and now I'm not so sure that I will do anything else. The first time I drove my truck with the 150 dpf on tune I couldn't keep my foot out of the floor. This thing chirped the tires in second gear. IMPRESSIVE!! I'm not sure that I have enough self control to put any higher tunes on this truck. So with the concern about:
1. possibility of fines
2. The hassle of changing the exhaust to get work done
3. The risk of damaging my truck
I'm not sure what I will do from this point. I have a dpf/cat delete pipe sitting in the box and that may be were it will stay. So for those of you who are concerned about the above issue you might want to try what I did. You wont be disappointed.
