Need Help With Spartan Tuner 6.4
I've had my Spartan Tuner for over a year now with DPF delete. Power is great but milage did not improve much 2-2.5 mpg. The lie-o-meter says it does great but the reality at the pump is not good. Has anyone else experienced this? All answers appreciated. Have 3.55 gears by the way. milage not pulling 12-13 pulling 19000 lb 5th wheel 6-7mpg.

You need to load the biggest hp tune that you have. Also if you did not convert over to strategy flash then you need to send an email with the following info to techsupport@spartandieseltech.com
Name DashDAQ serial# List of tunes you currently have Who you purchased your unit from Mick @ Spartan |

Thanks for your reply. I have not had a reflash did talk to a Matt about it 6months ago but really didnt get any answers. Seemed to be really busy. I run on the 210 tune. It seems if the pickup has to push a 10mph headwind it knocks the milage down. The only way it ever makes 15 or better is to fill up get on interstate and don't quit driving till your empty. Have ordered a bigger diesel tank so maybe can make it from one service station to the next. Sounds like some have got alot better milage. Mine has plenty of power just no milage. Main reason i bought it for milage. |

You really need to try a higher hp tune. That's where everyone is seeing their increases. If you still don't see any improvement after that then I would say you have a problem with your engine. I can get 13.5-14.4 with the 4.10 rear-end on my truck, and with 3.55 you should be getting way better than me.

I didn't see much of a difference in mph after the mods either. The truck says good millage but it is way off. I get 11-12mph combined. Almost all highway 65-75mph. After the lift and 37's it fell off but that is to be expected. Going to go to lower gears but I don't expect much. Only have ran the 275 tune now it is the 310. Never seen any of the millage some of these guys claim on here. Not even close.

After talking to Matt i put everything back to stock, took it to the dealer and had the injectors checked. They were even all closer than Matt said they needed to be so i know that question has been answered. The mileage on the meter went way down but at the pump it only changed 2 MPG. |

Mine is a pig with the 210 tune (12-13) but great with the 250 tune (17-20). I don't dare to pony up and buy the 275 and 310 because of all the horror stories of puking coming up lately. I have 3.55 gears too and 35" tires

Is your mileage hand calculated or off the lie-o-meter? |

I've done it both ways.. They seem to run within about 0.5 mpg of each other.

my lieometer is about 3 off. It was up to 9 off for a while then suddenly changed. I have never had a puking problem with any tune. some do for some reason
