handheld sct
so i have heard that the jog wheel on the livewire sucks from my local parts source. and thats the reason they told me not to buy one. they did say however that in the near future sct will becoming out with a handheld type one like for the 6.0's. any validity in this?

The TSX is certainly much nicer than the livewire. However with the current price of the livewire, I do not see them doing an X3 or SF3 type device.

yeah i was looking for a cheaper solution. is the livewire really that much of a piece of junk? quality wise not the tune wise.

The livewire itself is a cheap device. Problems with the jog wheel not so much, but the LCD screen is another story. Fading, hard to read, ect. SCT is always quick to fix the unit under warranty though. Most people program the truck and then unplug it, no need to leave it in unless you want to monitor.

problems i have had was Jog wheel is hard to grip..i was going to just glue a nob onto it to make it easier. I also had to send it off to have the screen replaced as it was fading in and out and there was a high pitch sqeal that only a few people such as myself could hear. In the evening its easy to read however rather bright...during the day it was ok unless there was a glare. THe suction thingy keeps falling off my window in the winter but thats minor..But as mentioned. Just load your tunes and put it in the console. The sct and rcd tunes run fairly cool.

FYI: You can adjust the brightness on the SCT
