It only came up this morning and wasn't there the rest of the day so I guess I'll just see if it comes up again and hopefully not have to worry about it.

the sensor is used by the pcm to elevate the idle and bring the eot and ect to operating temp during long idle times on colder days (keeps fuel out of the oil and burns off water in the oil) the pcm also makes timing adjustment off the readings it gets from the sensor in order to regulate retained heat in the oil and combustion chamber. check the eot and the ect they should be roughly the same during warm up and operating. if they have more than , in my opinion (cant find the trigger), 10 deg difference this may be triggering the error and may indicate a bad sensor.

Could this be caused by having the truck plugged in? I know its called an engine block heater but does it keep the oil or coolant warm? If it kept one warm and not the other it could cause a difference in temps. I don't know so I am just asking if that could be a possibility.

bingo, i think that could be it. my 06 GMC used to throw a code if i plugged it in and the outside air temp didn't go below zero. they had a tsb for it and reflashed the pcm to solve it.

i'll check for any tsbs

this tsb lists your trouble code in the reflash of the PCM as a fix to pre start checks

i'd hate to have to take it back to stock bc they need to reflash it just so you can plug it in. bummer

I didn't know if anyone else had this code come up or how to correct it. Once I loaded the 210 there were no codes and the code didn't come back up when I loaded the 275 again. I am waiting to talk to Mick because the 275 isn't running right on my truck at all but he is hard to get ahold of on the phone, I know he is busy but I would like to get my problems worked out.
Send me an email with your number, that way I can call you between incoming calls and those that I still have to get caught up on. Be sure to give me a good time to call:
