A lot of people run it as a daily driver....I would recommend the TCM, especially if you have a Job 1 factory TCM. I really and truly think (with experience) that the 210 and 250 tunes are best for daily drivers (maybe the 275 tune). The 310 tune is just a little much. With that being said it also depends a lot on where you live. If you live where there is a lot of traffic and red lights then I would use a lower tune as a daily driver. If you live in a rural area then a higher tune is more streetable.

I live in a rural area but I would be afraid i'd mess my truck up. Besides the smoke issue... do you think it would be safe for daily abuse with the tcm?

I personally think it's a little harsh myself as a daily driver especially driving around town with the throttle response being so sensitive. Definently would use it just for the track but that's me.

Lately I have been cruising between 20kph to 50kph for work for the last week and for that reason I have dropped to the 275 tune I may go down to the 210. My normal travels would keep me in the 310 tune. I love the option of switching tunes.

Is it normal to take 32 minutes to switch tunes. thanks

Yes, that is if your tranny is in good shape when the TCM is installed. If your tranny is already in bad shape from abuse, it won't help much.

No. 15 min tops. You're not going back to stock first are you?

I"m willing to put up with a lot of quirks, but the 310 is just too much to daily drive in my opinion. It only shifts well when you have your foot on the floor. The throttle response is crazy.

I daily drove the 275v3 for months and loved it. right now, I have the 210 tune running because of some concerns I had with my transmission. I don't have a 250 tune, so I don't know about that.

I run the 310 and Spartan TCM as my daily driver and love it! Shifting on mine is better than my 275 with an easy or heavy foot. Definitely touchy but a great DD.
