dpf delete with cat vs w/out cat

Wondering if people are noticing much difference in mpg if they delete the cat vs people that don't delete the cat running a spartan tuner? Did a search and couldn't find much from what I've read on here people are saying 1-2 mpg, but talking to someone at spartan today they said the only difference in deleting the cat is that it would make the truck slightly louder maybe make an extra 10hp but wouldn't see any gains in mpg. what have you guys noticed?

I can't tell you about gains, but from what I've been reading it sounds like the removal/re-install process is much easier with the dpf/cat delete. And heck, 10hp just for getting rid of that POS is good in my book.

It's a pretty easy removal doing them together, since they are bolted together. I would think it woyld be a PITA just doing the dpf.

I would delete both if your going to do it. It is easier to do the whole unit together rather than unbolt the 2 from each other. Also, you run the risk of the CAT clogging up over time. Having the CAT gone will also increase air flow through the exhaust which could increase MPG slightly....

like jeff said, if you delete the cat for no reason other than how easy it is to pull compared to just the dpf, then that is reason enough
