Another successful DPF delete w/Spartan!

Amazing! I found an install thread by Suerto (sp) that helped immensely. I loaded the tunes last nite without a hitch. Then copied the sd card to a cd for back up. This morning I removed all that **** by myself and installed the delete pipe. From the time I started till I was driving out the driveway was 2 1/2 hrs.. I took my time as it was the first time. I did bend one sensor trying to wiggle the extention pipe out of the dpf. I'd seen where someone else had done the same and thought maybe when they bent it back is when they damaged it. So, I left it alone and it works fine. Man, that is one heavy sonofa tho. What awsome tuning.

The only issue I have is finding the gauges I want for the dasdaq. On my selection there is no trans temp, egrta or anything else I would run. I think I'll use the barometer when I go to the races tho. That'll save me $100 not having to buy another air gauge.

Thanks to Aaron @ Rudy's, Spartan and all the threads I've lurked on while getting to this point.

Congrats on your new setup! You need to do the Ford specific gauges. You are looking at the Generic OBDII parameters. You might have to update the DashDAQ to get the Ford specific gauges. Call Mick (Spartan's tech support) if you need help with it.

I had the same problem and Mick was awesome. The update with new gauges is awesome as well. I really like the Ford Racing by day or by night gauges. I am currently running the 250 tune and love it. I got 18.9 mpg with some mixed driving and then a 120 mile trip which had some stop and go stuff. No highway miles, where I could just cruise so I was pretty impressed. BTW that was hand calculated, not using the lie-o-meter. I think the lie-o-meter said I had 23.3. Good luck.

Mick is making his BIG move to SC in the morning (Friday) so it may take a day or two for him to answer, but he will once he gets to the end of his trip. Go to FAQ and you will see the update procedure. It really is simple to follow.

Thanks guys. I'd agree with your diagnosis. I'll give it a try. If I don't have any luck you'll be hearing from me WG.

Downloaded the Ford gauges but only found 51 parameters. From reading the faq's I need to do it again till I get the over 400 parameters. I'll keep at it.

Mick called me this am and emailed me all the update files. Now I just have to get comfortable with doing the downloads from the computer files... I know he emailed the day theme gauges. I think those will be a lot easier to read in the sunlight. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to put the temp figures across the bottom of the gauge screen...

I'll tell ya, the help I've found here on this site has been invaluable...
