DPf delete

In the humble opionon of this forum, how is the dpf delete accomplished?,and if it is a pipe removal, who sells the best replacement pipe?......I guess there is no way to get rid of the regen issue without doing some cutting?....No tuner will delete it?......getting a new truck next week.....need to start to gather toys...Mike

You can remove the DPF and replace it with a delete pipe. Your best bet is too chose from one of the few tuners that will disable the DPF.

the dpf delete is accomplished 1 of 3 ways. you buy a delete pipe from any of our sites sponsors(cobbs, rudy, just to name a few) then you install the pipe. This 2 of the ways, you do either a dpf delete or a dpc/doc delete. the latter being easier. The third option is just whether you want stock exhaust or not after the delete.

Cutting? Pretty much any tuner for the 6.4 can rid you of the regen. the sct is a good budget way. The edge doesn't tune the trans and can be a sketchy option. Spartan is widely regarded as the bet option.

DPF deletes are very popular. There is a number of vendors on here that sell good delete pipes. There is also vendors and manufacturers on here that sell tuning/tuners that will disable the regen process once you get a pipe installed. I'm sure they will be flocking in here any minute with a offer..

Cobbs Diesel is a good choice. Rudy's Diesel Performance also.. Great people, all of them.

I knew of this device when I made my post, but I also know that it is not 100% reliable, so I didn't recommend it. I don't know of any person that still runs one of these devices.

I personally dont know of anybody running this either. Just putting options out there. Never heard good or bad things from the dpf/r pipe..

Personally i would just go with spartan and do it right. Im loving it.

DPF/DOC is the easiest way to do the delete, you dont have to unbolt ungodly amounts of bolts and worry about gaskets. The spartan tuner is the best for these trucks, but the SCT will work if you are on budget.

Have to agree, the one piece CAT/DPF swap is the easiest way to do it. Spartan would be my suggestion on tuning also. Stay away for the DPF-R stuff, nothing but problems on the 6.4's. We are a distributor for Spartan and manufacture the pipes, from DPF only to full CAT/DPF,downpipes, and complete systems. Let Aaron or I know if we can help you. Thanks Sean
