Can you buy a DashDaq and then get Spartans tunes loaded on them later?
I currently have a car with an aftermarket turbo system on it and getting the DashDaq would be a nice way to monitor things when I'm out driving the car. I plan on selling this vehicle in the next year or so along with my current work truck and upgrading to a Super Duty. The DashDaq is on sale on their website for $549 and $695 with Navigation so I was wondering if I could get it and use it for my car, and then next year get the tunes from Spartan and run it on my truck.

i dont think so, the ones spartan sells are able to flash the truck, the one for 549 is only a guage device
here is the quote from nutty from another forum |

No you cannot, the device is lacking the tuning capabilities if not purchased from Spartan.

I asked practically this same question earlier this week directly of the DashDAQ guys and was told they knew of no reason one could not run their vehicle-specific add-ons on a Spartan DashDAQ, including the navigation. They provided a caveat: "Ask Spartan because we don't really know if there is room or some other compatibility issue."
So the solution seems to be buy the Spartan in the first place and also use it on your other car. |

Not the answer I was hoping for... I guess I'll wait til I actually get the Super Duty. I'm interested in seeing how H&S's Black Maxx tuner stacks up to the Spartan anyway...
