Quick Question

I installed my AFE this weekend and it was great until I got out of the truck just now and when I turned the key off you could hear it continue to pull air for a good 5 seconds. Its never done this before and now does it each time. Anyone know what its doing? It almost sounds like the turbo is slowly spinning down and pulling air...

The truck doesnt have anything but the AFE currently

Just got all the other parts yesterday and was going to install this weekend. The afe went on last weekend. So its bone stock except the AFE. Well at least someone elses does it to. I just started the truck and when I shut her off it made the sound for a good 10 seconds and sounded like it was ramping down...

Im in between el cajon and la mesa...

gotcha, im out in mission valley until november when i move back up north. tip on the exhaust, start lubing the egt sensors early, be careful with the pressure sensor, and take your time.

Since you put the afe on its letting you hear what you couldnt before. Its not really doing anything diff its just that you can hear it cause its not baffled by the factory air filter and the fender vent.

The sound you hear is the turbos spooling down. If you were spinning at 20,000RPM, you wouldn't want to come to a sudden stop either. It's normal and I think it sounds pretty cool.
