Question TCM question

Question:
What does Matt do to the new Ford TCM's that Spartan sells, Donna said she was waiting for TCM's from Ford, is it something he can't do with the one that comes with the truck, or is it a modification he does that can't be reversed if needed? or does he add something to the new TCM, just wondering
Thanks in advance

What is done isn't reversible. We start with a very specific (and a bit obscure by most parts book standards) Ford part, likewise- any module won't work.

Having a spare is also always good- as all TCM's can be prone to circuit failure and aren't recoverable once it happens. They can die during a flash; even sometimes going down the road. A good part to have in the console with a wrench if needed.
