12.9 @101.8mph/ CCSB Weight-8150lbs.

Went to track yesterday and overall pretty happy.
60ft.-1.751
e.t.- 12.901
mph-101.8

Made 3 other passes that were 12.9xx. The truck was getting faster as the day went on. I will say strapping the front end down is the trick for getting a better 60', once I did that traction became the isssue. I know there is a lot more in it once I play with tire pressure a bit. On top of it all we were fighting a nasty head wind, everyone that runs at this track says they were down .2 due to wind and ****ty track prep. So with a better day and some practice I should be down to a 12.7 or even a 12.6 on fuel only. My previous best was a 13.25 with the old 310 tune. These runs were made with the 310/tcm tune, suncoast converter, intercooler pipe, and spearco intercooler. As well as I lost 400lbs. since the 13.2 runs. I just gotta get my 60' down.

What RPM did you leave at, tire pressures, etc, etc. Please give more details!

How did you "strap the front down"?

Thanks!

Mike

You could really feel the wind, especially once you got past the stands.
I took off my spare tire, tail gate, hitch reciever, thing under the back seat and my tools. It weighed 8550lbs. last time out.
My mph was about the same as last time, but the wind was killing it, I figure if the cars were down 2-3mph my big truck was probably 4-5mph down.
For the strap I ran around the frame just behind the bumper on the passenger side, under the axle, up to my trac bar drop down bracket.
Tire pressure was 45psi front ans 55 rear, I think next time out I'll try 40 front and 45 rear.
Not sure what rpm I left at, but before the strap I could only leave at 15psi boost and with the strap it was at 20psi boost.
