CCV mod

Could someone explain to me this mod? I've read briefly on it, but what are the advantages, and is it beneficial for a stock engine?

Hey man,

Your CCV routes oil back into the intake pipe. This oil gets onto the boots and is one of the leading causes of your boots popping off. The CCV mods either reroute the oil to a completely different area, ie. back of truck, or they filter it before it goes back into the intake.
