I have seen some mounts down by the ashtray area(by your knee) how are you mounting it there?

It is REALLY easy. Just remove the ash tray assembly, install the windshield mount that comes with the DD and then snake it into the hole where the ash tray was. You kinda have to play with it a little, but once you get it where you want it tighten up the ball socket on the mount and your done.

I have done this on a few trucks now and it works great. Every now and then you may smack it had enough to move the pivot ball, but its easily moved back.

IMO, that is where the DD was meant to go.

i used the arm on the mount only, not the suction part, run a zip tie through the hole of it and around the metal support, and tighten it up, its worked great for me, i can unscrew the DD from the arm and use it somewhere else and put it back with no problems
