Alternator's gone bad x 2!

Anyone had their alternators gone bad yet? I have just replaced a total of 4 alts in 18,000 miles under warrenty.

Seems odd!

I wonder if it is due to the faster rev's of teh truck as compared to stock......?

Mike

I have not had issues with the batteries.... Always stored in a heated garage, no real drain on them... I do have the dual Alternators on the truck.

Thanks for the advise!

Wouldn't hurt to have the batteries tested though if you haven't already. I was sent a defective battery a few months ago for my boat. Blue top optima, dealer said he's seen a couple come back defective from the factory.
