Just as the title says. Left Lexington this morning for my trip this weekend to Englishtown NJ for the US Diesel Nationals. I stopping along the way to see various customers in the North East.
Well today I logged 611 miles all on the latest 585 that Brad sent me. With the said, here are my results. All Data was gathered from my GPS and Edge Monitor Average maintained speed 57.42mph (includes all rest stop, fuel stops, etc...) Average highway speed 74.11mph Average Altitude from Sea Level 1481ft. Average MGP Hand Calculated from fuel used. 16.92mpg. (Measured this by filling up when my Edge showed 10% remaining fuel level and put exactly 25.25 gallons of fuel in) While not spot on, this is about as precise as I can get. Lie O Meter showed 24.1mpg Average EGT's @ 75mph - 722 Average Boost @ 75mph - 8.5-9lbs. Average RPM's @ 75mph - 1817rpm (I have 37's) Average Rail Pressure Reading @ 75mph - 12134.82 PSI The truck ran perfect, never missed a beat. No crazy learning after I got off the highay either. Shifts were nice and crisp just as before the long drive. Please keep in mind that this trip was mostly through the hills of West Virginia and Eastern PA as that was the bulk of my drive. Had I been lower in elevation and had no hills I think she would have done better! I hope you find this information helpful. Last edited by Jesse@MBRP; 09-17-2009 at 04:14 AM. |

Thanks Jesse... it was your original post about Brad's tunes that got me to buy my Livewire from him! Now, a great detailed report... awesome. I ended up getting the 485 to start because my truck is my daily driver too. I just read another test about someone else running the 585 on another site. I can't imagine more power than mine has now but might just do it anyway! Good luck at Englishtown and keep the reports coming!

Good input Jesse, but I just noticed something a little strange about your post. You gave an average rail pressure of 121348.2 PSI.....That cannot be in any way correct lol
