spartan and EGTs
Ok well ive done a lot of reading on the spartan and i am pretty much sold on it. but ive got two trucks i know you can do more than one truck with one tuner but do i really need to use the monitor on either truck because i dont really want to have to have it on my dash a all times. and what is the highest egts the trucks can handle and how long can i hold it on the floor before they get two high i am planning on running the 210 in both with the dpf/cat delete.
Any advice will be apriciated. |

You will be fine with the 210 tune. It takes a long time for the EGT's to hit 1600-1700 with the 210. Once you get to that point you dont want to hold it there, but its ok for a few seconds.

The 210 and under tunes have safety parameters built into them and defuel if stuff starts heating up, defuels at 1400 or so I think for EGT's, not sure on the rest. And no you don't really need to monitor it with the dashdaq unless your towing, then it would be a good idea.

thanks that awnsered most of my questions. and thats good that they have safety parameters built in. one is my daily driver KR f250 and the other is a wrecker F450 4x4 and i drive the piss out of it.

Oh and the F250 is a job 1 truck should i expect any problems from it with the 210. not worried about the F450 its a job 3. any input will be apricaited

Thanks. i was just curious because i have heard that job 1 trucks have had tranny problems with the spartan. its ben to ford twice one time for the cooling system failure and the front main seal

No, but I have a nice long list of problems from before I did the Spartan tuner and DPF delete
