Are you curious whats in here! *****PICS*****
Ok guys ive tried to join another forum to have my questions answered about this but have not had any luck. (other forums suck) Ive got a kawasaki mule that I tried to put a diesel engine in and that didnt work so i rebuilt the stock motor and let me workers drive it around the ranch. Well last week my workers over heated it draging the arenas and cracked the block. So ive got this 750 cc motor that I put a turbo on and was going to put it in a mini sand rail. Well Ive got this mule and im now turning it into little truggy. Ive got the motor in and all I have left is to figure out my gearing. The motor cycle has a 5 speed trans and a 15 tootch sprocket. The high low trans in the mule that im going to hook the bike motor to has a 10:1 ratio and a 20:1 ratio. I was hoping to have my top speed somewhere around 60 mph. Im going to be building a full long travel suspension for it and want to be able to take it to the dunes. I really have no idea where to start gearing wise for this thing so any input would be much appreciated. I know some of you have side by sides (pahrump) and know alittle bit about these things. Here is a pick before I mounted the motor in the mule. I will be putting a sprocket on the 7/8 15 spline shaft that is going into the trans. Also any input on a sprocket mount for the shaft would be great too!
Here is the pics....... Ill get some pics with the motor in it tommarow. ![]()

It will be cool if i get it moving. Im thinking if I gear it right I can put some light truck mud tires on it and some mini bead locks and use it to rock crawl too. It doesnt have a dump bed on it any more and im redoing the whole front. It looks nothing like a mule anymore.

so what are you askin? how to mount the sprocket on the shaft?

Whats the best way to mount the sprocket. I cant find a sprocket with a 15 spline hub. Also What size sprockets should I run on the motor and mule gear box.

well since you previosly stated that the one on the bike engine is 15, go with that for the other size for a 1:1 ratio. or go higher or lower, your choice. but id suggest the same for both. you could call around to industrial machine supply stores, they might actually have a sprocket thatll fit on the shaft. might not be the same chain size ( im guessin 520) but it woudnt hurt. also, you could rig up a hub type deal to mount to the shaft, then mount the sprocket to the hub. or you could machine the shaft to the spline type of the sprocket. or just weld it to the shaft.
