What kind of gains are to be expected by going to a 4" downpipe over the factory? What kinds of EGT drops, power, sound, etc... can I expect?

Atleast a 50 degree drop in EGT's. The stock pipe is only 3" on the inside of the dual walled, crimped pipe, so going to a 4" is a big jump. You will also see an increase in boost. Sound might be a little deeper, but not a huge difference.
