P0088 Trouble Code & HPFP
I finally got my truck back from the dealer today after two weeks of being in the shop. I started having P0088 troubles about two months ago. It all started when the weather started to really heat up. I would get the P0088 code about once a day at first, but it started to get more frequent as time went on. It eventually got so bad that I could not even run 275 V3. I eventually got 275 V4 to try to help the situation, but did not really care for how the truck shifted with V4. It shifted like it was completely confused when trying to do a hard launch from a dead stop. I then decided I would try my lower HP tunes(75,150,210). I had the same results with them. I was constantly getting the P0088 code. I decided to take the truck back to stock, and take it to the dealer, and as soon as I got it tuned back to stock it threw the P0088 code at idle. The dealer tried replacing the fuel rail pressure sensor, but it did not work, so they ended up replacing the HPFP. The truck seems to be running fine, but I have not loaded the 275 yet. I think I am going to give it a few days to make sure everything if ok before I load any of the tunes.
