And I am pretty sure the thread being referred to about a vendor posting in another vendors thread was not a vendors thread. It was a member thread about a product....

Ok, just thought it was referring to the one that went on today where a vendors post got deleted out of a members thread...not a vendor thread

To me it sounds like we are being helpful by getting them away from these canned generic tuners and pushing Spartan and SCT on them. Maybe I am wrong in what I do, but I want to just clear that up with you. I am not about to start sayinig that generic tuners are ok to run to a newbie that has no clue what he is buying. I have ran a Superchip and I have ran a DiabloSport on my 08, I know the effects they have.
No, I'm not saying that at all. Please feel free to educate the member on tuners, but do not force something down their throat. I can't tell you how many threads I have seen where a newbie comes on and asks a question about a generic tuner and then states "I DONT WANT SPARTAN OR SCT", but yet some how it turns out that way. I'm not saying not to post any negative either, please do, that's why the forum exists, but do it tastefully .

If a member come on and says he doesn't have a lot of money but wants to tune the truck, but doesn't need anything insane, then educate him on why saving more money and buying something more expensive is better in the long, don't just say screw those other canned tunes GO SPARTAN or SCT.

That is what I usually try to do, I know I have gotten out of line a few times though. I will admit that. Some guys are hard headed as hell and it makes you want to shove it down their throat
