Also is it true that the race tunes (less 310) cycle the valve once @ startup even they're disabled, would that explain the code if it's thrown, and why one can't run plates unless tune is specifically made. Ok, to my understanding some of the late 310 beta files were used to test somet hings needed to do a complete EGR delete, therefore the files had to be made where there would be no codes or drivability issues. Matt made the production file the same way I guess.
The 275v4 may be the same way....I am not sure though. The EGR valve is disbaled through tuning while driving. It will cycle at idle, not just at startup. When the plates are in there, the valve will still attempt to cycle, but the plate being there dirupts that....causing a code. The purpose of the plates is to block off the EGR coolers, not the valve, but there is a plate at the top of the uppipe where the valve is. Since the 175 and lower tunes dont have the EGR disabled, it is cyclying constantly. This causes drivability to be effected along with the code. I have tested this for John. My truck got to where it would not boost more than 25 psi on the 150 tune. I changed back to the 210 tune and it was fine....other than the codes. Spartan rewrites tunes for the EGR delete's though, so thats not big deal.
I hope that helps you out, that was also very scattered lol.
