Is there any power to be had from an EGR delete?

I read a few places that the GM's get a little power from deleting the egr. Is this the same on our trucks?

Basically I'm wondering if there is any "little stuff" that can be done to add more power. :tard:

Thanks for any replies!

The full delete with the wastegate that Elite offers will probably provide for a little more horsepower, not much though. The block off plates that Cobb's offers are more of a security part. I have them on my truck for just in case my EGR cooler were to bust

Do you have to put the plates in or can you just turn it off with the SCT?

Yes, you can turn off/close the EGR valve with the SCT and Spartan tunes, but this only messes with the valve and not the cooler. With the plates installed, you are blocking off the cooler as well. This provides a security if the cooler were to bust. :thumb:
