Hey I am new to the site... I have a few questions...

Hey all I am about to purchase a 2008 F-250 6.4. I am new to the diesel truck world and I have a few questions about modifying this truck... But first let me put this in perspective... I currently own a 2004 F-150 (5.4) and had to rebuild the trans twice in 4 months. The truck ran on 35's with an aggressive tread with no re-gearing, which I believe caused this to happen. I had an edge programmer, intake, and exhaust on it for performance.... My main concern about modifying this 250 is that, will it be able to handle these modifications with out a problem? I don't want check engine lights on constantly. I am not going to lift it, however I would like to put some beefier tires on... will this do the same damage as it did to my F-150? Also where should I start on modifications? I need to have a truck that can be driven through mud and muck day in and day out... I have been aggressively searching this site looking for answers... I hope you all can help me. Thank you!

Get a spartan and youll be set, These trucks can handle 500hp easy on stock trans and gears. If you get a 250 you will get atleast 373 gears so you should be good on your gears unless your going to get some 44'' tsl or something crazy like that

I also have another thing to add.... What will the modifications do to my warrenty? I asked a friend's father who is a Ford dealer, and he told me that they are going to start to crackdown on modifications... Thanks.

They have been saying that from day one. No one that I know of has been caught. Every body knows that before you take the truck in for warranty work to return everything to stock.....
