Ive been searching but what im curious is what yall think of the Edge Evolution. My truck has an afe intake and stock exhaust. which its gonna stay stock. i know a guy selling this programmer for 300 bucks and just thought id buy it.

But is it a good programmer? any issues it may cause with my truck that another programmer would prevent? i was looking at an sct extreme but at 679.00 if its basically the same id rather save the money for other upgrades.


are there any known issues running the edge evo? and what level can i run it on daily?

Provides up to 100 HP increase on older ones and now the new 140 hp claim. Evolution or Race Evolution. Which one is it? The price looks good if it's the racing version. It may not be hard to resale it and get your money back. Not so good if it's the older one.

Depending on how you drive the truck it could require DPF replacement or cleaning sooner than normal. You might also see EGR clogging. You could expect the same result from most any tuner because it will depend on how you use it. Some tuners may improve your results but it's going to depend on your usage of it. The truck has to run very clean to prevent problems.


Engine and transmission tuning is different on different tuners so performance results will vary quite a bit.
