SCT Tunning?

Ok just got home from a truck pull in Wilmington Ohio, lil pumped, lil drunk, and lil PO'd bout havin a quiet smokeless truck! I was wondering how good the SCT dpf delete tunning was? I know Spartan is the way i should go but just can't bring my self to spend the 1200-1300$ to get it... and with SCT i can go with inovative or RCD tunes later if i wanted.

Feedback Score: 0 reviews could go SCT with the Livewire, or wait a little while longer and get the new Touchscreen Xtreme. I always tell people that the SCT is a good choice....but many people end up regretting not getting the Spartan in the first place, try to sell their SCT, dont get much out of it, and end up having to save longer for a Spartan.

RCD is probably the best bet currently, Innovative seems to still have a few issues as far as the tranny goes. I still recommend Spartan to you, but you gotta do what is best for you.

ok, well i just spent the past 25 minutes wrighting a whole essay on why not to go with a SCT and why you should save for a Spartan, and right as i was hitting the post button my computer decides to crack out an reboot loosing everything i just wrote

anyways long story short, i have an SCT, have had every problem from thier super slow shipping, to not recieving the right size pipe i ordered, the pipe not being properly drilled for sensors causing me rattles on one and a about $70 or so on a new EGT sensor ontop of having to take a tap and dye to another one. innovative taking a week to get me my tune making me miss the dyno day i signed up for to see how the innovative performed. the SCT tuner itself dying and having to be sent back to SCT for 2 weeks while my truck is now tuned with no gauges and no way of un-tuning. and now also having multiple different transmission problems.

long story short, please dont make the same mistake i did. i am now spending all that money twice on the same parts just from different companys so that my new exhaust and spartan will be here next week and i can finally ditch the old pipe and sct instead of putting that money towards my lift.

If you decide you want a used SCT and a DPF delete pipe, I have one I'll sell you for $450 including the EGT probe and a tap!
