buddy ask me to cheack out his truck that the engine light had came on his 08 sounded like a boost leak. checked the boots and and found lost of OIL around one of the boots output of the intercooler to exact!what can this be?

It comes from the crank case ventalation.

Make sure it's not over full and check for blow-by when it's hot.

Some oil is normal. Is he maintaining the air filter?

Yeah you could have a leaky injector and it could be filling the crank case. See my avatar and you will see what happens if you dont catch it. But you could also just have a loose boot on you IC. Grab you a 7/16 and tighten them all
