New Exhaust Please Help!!!

hey guys, well im getting rid of my 6" dual stacks (if anyone is interested) and looking for a new exhaust. i am going to get the Elite 4" downpipe, but i cant decide on then doing a 4" or 5" downpipe back. can anyone tell me what the sound differences are going to be between the 4" and 5". also if i go 4" should i go duals?

and doesn anyone have video clips of the different sizes??

The 5" will make a slightly deeper sound then the 4". I went with dual 4's on mine, sorry I don't have a video so you can hear it.

ok, deeper is absolutly better IMO, however i herd that the 5" would also be a little quieter at the same time.... hmmm.


also do you know, i was told that 4" duals, would be louder than just a 4" single. is this true??

Mike, I have noticed with duals that it is louder then when it was a single. How much? I don't know, but it does sound louder. Probably because it now comes from the driver side as well, I can hear it more compared to just the passenger side.

Cobb's had a dual 4" setup on his truck and after hearing my 5" downpipe back he got one on his truck. I don't think you can go wrong with a 5" single if your putting a single on

thats what i am guessing as well. and i know that if i get the 4" downpipe, then there really isnt no reason for going with a 5" exhaust other than just a little of a sound difference, and thats where my delema comes in is how much of a difference??

and i cant really find any good videos to compare.... time to continue the research haha

i talked to him today and he said he has the 4" dual, the one video i found of his truck on youtube was one of the 4" dual and it sounded GREAT, my only questions from that are how different will it sound with the downpipe, and how different does the 5" system sound.

do you happen to have any video clips of your 5" by chance?

put this up a couple times, but for reference, here's what mine sounds like with cat/dpf delete and 4" flo pro to 4" magna flow w/delete pipe instead of muffler... when this video was taken I was running the 150 tune... I will see if I can find one from in the cab if you want to hear it, I have some on my external hard drive. I really like it, but everybody has their own idea of what they want their truck sound like Good Luck!

ya, see if it was possible i would have my truck sounding like a straight piped 6.0. IMO those are the best sounding motors, but motor wise i would still take my 6.4 over anything else any day.
