Spartan 6.4 drag racing Duramax and Cummins

I am curious. When i purchase the Spartan setup with 275 tune how would the power be if compared to a tuned Duramax or Cummins? I'm speaking of the newer 2008 and up trucks. I'm thinking that if Chevy and Dodge have programmers that put out as much power then they should be faster cause a similiar truck weighs less than a Ford. The Chevy is around 800lbs or more lighter than our trucks. Anyone have any experiences?

dodge and chevy wont be as fast without a built trans... period

are you saying the ford trans is bacically "built" compared to chevy and dodge?..

The tuning that spartan does to the transmission is capabable of handling the horsepower the engine can produce, dodge and chevy cant do that as of right now.

As far as tuner, exhaust, and intake, the 6.4 owns the competition. There isn't another truck out there period that can get the power a 6.4 can with just simple mods. Dodge has always had trouble with their automatic transmissions. The Allison is a great tranny on the Duramax, but when to much power is added (90+ hp) it can't handle it well at all. Dollar for dollar, the 6.4 is the most powerful diesel on the market currently

Yes. That is what is being stated, and that is what has been proven. Several trucks have laid down around 700 horsepower with nitrous on stock tranny's

Yup there are plenty of people running stock trans at about 550 horse, some are on nitrous with little issue, (as long as you dont get carried away)
