spartan Race Tunes and Reverse issues

I was wondering if anyone has heard of Reverse Issues with the spartan race tunes. I was on their site digging around and a couple of guys said they were having problems with reverse.

I am not trying to cause problems or start anything. I am just trying to get educated on the system and figure out if I want to purchase one.

I want to purchase the 275 race tune and the Dash Daq but I also tow a small 18 ft bass boat 3-4 times a week. I would need my reverse to work every time

I did have this issue with the 275v3 and it is indeed frustrating...couldn't use it at all in the hills or with a trailer. It seems to have been limited to only a few trucks. I am currently running the 275v4 and haven't noticed it with the new revision. I will be hooking up my trailer tonight so I will give it the true test. It never happened at all with the 210.

A few of us had it with the 275 v3 tune. I quit running that tune after that since I had the 275 v2. A few people like Jrod did not and had to run a lower tune or just deal with it. I havent seen the issue with the 310 tune though, and I am still waiting on my 275 v4 tune to see how it reacts with my truck. I think it was only a select few guys though

what kind of problems in reverse is it causing? like it wont go in gear or what?

It would slip/shudder with not very much throttle.

yeah my truck slips/ shrudder i thought it was my tranny going out.... is it the tune?

Its definitely possible. Load one of the smaller tunes like the 210 and see if the reverse issue is still there.
