New 09 F250 6.4 Mods

Thought I had saved a post regarding what modifications work best for the 09 6.4L F-250, but I can't find it. What modifications have worked best on the 09, as far as exhaust, in take, chip? Thanks.

exhaust: visual appeal only

intake: most throw check engine lights without a tuner, and add almost no power. Basically, tuned trucks run them to avoid sucking in the filter minder.

Tuner: Spartan is the favorite, followed by an SCT livewire with tunis from innovative.

^^^^^^ what popo said.

Other than, my truck didn't throw any codes with my intake. Then a couple weeks later got my Spartan, then the exhaust. Exhaust just made it sound cool at WOT.

But I would advise Spartan, the Dash Daq is awesome when it comes to monitoring and keeping an eye on things.

So I go w/Spartan tuner, no different intake. Not putting on a different exhaust for better performance/sound is a bummer. Had Magnaflow/Aeroturbine on last and worked great.

I would go ahead and get the intake. It is recommended. They sell package deals if you go their site.

I personally went with the AFE, and I had MBRP on my other trucks, so that was my choice for exhaust with this new one. But there are a lot of options out there, and some great deals.

If you're going to go with a Spartan AND get one of their race tunes, then go with an intake. Otherwise, its not going to matter, a drop-in filter will be adequate.

The stock exhaust on these trucks is 3.5" (larger in some places) so it doesn't benefit nearly as much as earlier trucks.

Go with a S&B intake, the afe I had kept throwing a code so after switching to the S&B no codes, and yes if your going to run a race tune 250/275 go with the intake, for the exhaust I just removed the DPF/Cat and left the remainder of the exhaust there, so with Spartan and a S&B your set to go, PM Aaron @ Rudy's Diesel performance and he will set you up with everything you need, then all you need to do is save some spare coin for new back tires!!
