Yep, this happened to me too. I took it to the track with like 5,000 miles on it. Same thing, boosted launch, and then clunk! Funny thing was that I kept massaging the gas peddle and the tranny engaged and away I went. If the truck ever came to a complete stop,I would have to do the same thing to get it going again.

I new I had to get it away from the track, LOL Would not look good if it was towed from the drag strip. Now this is where it got weird...

I took it to a local dealer and as they were looking it over they found a SCT sending unit for a EGT sensor... The mechanic was a complete douche and said this is not a warranty claim!! so I drove it out of there. All the time mr douche bag was saying you wont be able to drive it... I did, It took a little to get it rolling but I got it out of there.

So, I made a few phone calls and found a "mod" friendly dealer and that's where I took it. They had it for almost a week and here was the problem;

Anyhow, I was pissed at the first dealer for allowing me to drive a vehicle with a truly damaged transmission. I did go back and talk to the service manager and general manager but they all stood by me db!

If there is a FoMoCo guy reading this... My name is Jeff from Hawaii!!
