Same Thing
Mine did the Rev/Slam thing once also. Same deal. 35-45 coasting around a turn and accelarated and then BAM! I could have swore I broke the u-joint or something. I haven't really driven my truck that much since it happened, but I did take it to the dealership. I had them drop the pan and remove the diff cover as well to make sure that nothing was messed up. Of course they didn't find anything, but I would have swore that they would have. That sound scared the **** out of me!

I have had the same problem, straight roads or turning and gets way worse with the bigger tunes, I had the 310 Spartan in and felt like it was holding back, released and bucked a few times with tons of smoke, I backed off and when I came to a stop, it felt like the truck was stuck in 2 gears at the same time or the brakes were locked on(feel) After accelerating and allowing it to shift, it seemed ok after that I backed off on the tune to the 210 for now but the shifts definately feels softer now than when I had this installed before Trans fluid started to turn colour at 12000 miles and was changed and the FS2500 installed (engine & Trans) Going to reinstall the 310 and see if it happens again. Looks like there may be a solenoid issue here internally, and I am concerned why trans requires service at such low mileage, may be the new Mercon LV oil (Low viscosity) |

Likely a coincidence. Mine occurs at random. Part of the problem with ford trying to determine whats wrong. You cannot reproduce the problem on command. Last time it happened to me was a few weeks ago. Prior to that in July and prior to that a couple times in the 6 months prior. My truck is in getting a flush as we speak. They are going to hook the computer up and do some test driving before and after the flush to compare shift pressures etc. I will let you guys know if they come across anything, but when they pulled the pan there were no pieces to get all worried about. Initial test drive shows nothing abnormal. Magnet was pulled from the pan and had minimal metal particles attached. 103,000 on the stock fluid. It was dark but he has seen guys come in at 60,000km's with darker. Last edited by wontonrunner : 09-30-2009 at 12:14 PM. |

Same problem here,it happens the exact spot, same low speed turn and ONLY in this turn. Im running the spartan 210,stock tcm and 20k on the odometer. I think it may be the learning curve of the spartan tuner. Im going to load the 250 tune to see what it does tomarrow. I dont hammer my truck but i like clear the cylinders out once and a while HEHE |
