Yep. Hauling trailers and equipment to job sites and working 10-12 hours a day is one thing... Tuning the truck and hammering the dog$hit out of it is a different game all together. I've spent a lot of time and money making sure I can do both. Even when the truck HAD a warranty, I was always honest and up front. When it was my fault, I paid. And the dealer ALWAYS cut me a good deal on the labor and gave me shop pricing on the parts. |

Last time i took my truck in for an interior complaint the damn service writer was more worried about the tunner hanging on the windsheild. He kept talking about how my warranty is void, i finally had to get uglly and tell him that the damn tunner has nothing to do with the stitching coming out of my seat

some service writers are idiots.. i had one here who always knew what was wrong with my truck as soon as i walked in the door. i would basically tell him what year my truck ishe was an idiot.. and he would immediately say " ahh its a turbo problem." he would never return my calls, never give me updates, my truck sat there for a day and a half, finished, ready for pickup and he never told me.. i had to call to find out... i wont do any business there anymore....

after picking the truck up and inspecting my old trans I could clearly see I had the same problem one of the other members on here was having with the clutches not getting enough pressure. the trans was going to go out anyways with how I use it daily and me having fun just sped the process up. to each there on. and i sure as hell wasnt going to pay ford to fix my **** if it wasnt under warranty. 6500 for a trans and install? that better come with a damn BJ |

A tuner won't break the transmission. If you drive it right and don't overload it the tuner can't do anything. If it's not right and you keep driving it it will break and that's your fault. If it's stock and you drive it like that it will break and it's your fault again. Everybody pays for the thieves that are unable to be honest and pay up. Why not just go in and rob somebody to get the money to fix it? |

I have not had any transmissions problems so far, but that could be because I am good to my truck and I dont do burnouts all the time and high psi boost launches all the time. The dealer that I deal with has been getting business from my family since the 80's and they treat us really good. The service department knows this because the service department manager grew up with my dad and uncle. I have taken my truck in for service work with a bad HPFP when my DPF was gone and my Spartan tuner was hooked up. They still replaced the HPFP without voiding my warranty. The diesel tech says that as long as my issues are not directly caused by my tuner then he will work on the truck because other STOCK trucks have had the same issues....I think that is fair. I plan on getting a Suncoast when my tranny goes out, so I wont cost FMC a dime
