No set speed.
You can try this.. Take off with a steady rate of acceleration and watch the RPM's. What you should see is a consistent RPM range in each gear until you reach high. When you stop accelerating it will cause an early up shift because the truck thinks you are finished accelerating. If you always see a higher rpm in 4th than other gears then there could be a problem. Otherwise it sounds normal to me. On another note.. A diesel shifting into high at 40 mph when you are accelerating is not likely to result in better fuel economy. With 6.4L displacement somewhere around 1800 RPM should be optimal.
