Well one of my customers called thursday and said his tranny was making funny sound for the last 3 weeks. i told him to take it in to ford. 10 min. later he called and said it made a loud thump noise reved up and then nothing. no R,D,1,2,3 but parking pin still worked. this truck tows every day about 5000-12000 lbs. this is the 3rd tranny that i have seen blow up. Sh!t maybe it's me. any body else lost a tranny.

I'm on my third tranny, but the first two messed up while the truck was stock, so the third time they gave me a new tranny and converter

This is a job 1 and the other 2 are job 1 and all of then have the ford external filter. i think it is just a piece of sh!t filter. i have one on my truck and when i dropped the pan the oil was dirty and so was the pan i'm going with a after market filter spin on. i think a sponsor has them. his truck was stock it has 47000kms and was tuned for 3 days running 50hp tune. but he said that the truck was making noise and shifting very funny before the tune was loaded. so it was only a matter of time....... who makes a bullet proof trans for the 6.4l i know outlaw, but i didn't see that is was made for the 08. i thought that the 08 had a little different enternals? Flyin hawaiian can you answer this for us... oh ya my truck took a sh!t on the road to day it was runny and red. i lost the tranny line going to the cooler 4 time the dealer has tried to fix. i think it is the cooler it self has a small leak. add 1 more rad to the list 3 one for my truck love you Ford.....go f yourself... thats the way i feel about ford right know.....

TRANS DIED

Well i would say the trans cooler was not changed and hose was not cleaned out.so when the new trans was put in all that crap from lines and cooler went in the trans.the sound could be spiral snap ring came off, planet gear, thrust washer dryed up or sprag.your going to have to open her up and find out?but most re-built trans fail from old lines and coolers, change them.
just my guess or 2 cents
