tranny issues

hey guys im having major issues with my truck and i need some help! my truck is slipping gears like crazy and ive also lost reverse. When driving it slips as if its going into neutral and stays like this until the wrench icon appears in my dash then it shifts fine ( but still no reverse). The truck will only shift in reverse if its on a hill and rolls back about 15 feet. My truck has the sct livewire programmer set on extreme tune. The truck is throwing the p0766 and p0703 codes. There is also a strange ticking sound under my drivers seat that gets louder as I accelerate more. It seems to me that it could possibly be the TCM. what do you guys figure? should I bring it to the dealer and see what the problem could be or should I just go ahead and order a new tranny?

thanks scott

the ticking sounds like your transfer case... without it, you're found on road dead..

have either of you checked your fluid levels? The slipping could easily be explained by loss of fluid.. the code p0766 is a solenoid issue, which could be explained by loss of pressure, ie not enough juice... the p0703 is something else altogether... it's an issue with your brake switch module, and seems to be a common issue with our rigs. It could be an issue with the controller itself, or a PCM issue..

you're going to want to get a competent tech to look at it, but that brake module fault is more than capable of causing all the issues both of you are seeing.
