Trans temp sending unit replacement

I recently changed my eot and ect sending units. My fan now comes on for both temp issues. However, the tranny temp still does not turn the fan on. I've seen that the trans sending unit is inside the tranny. Has anyone ever changed theirs? Can anyone tell me how far I'll have to dissasemble the tranny to get to the switch? I ordered a manual and it should be here next week. Thanks for any help.

I remember a time when I would have gotten a page of responses within a day. Not so much any more.

Naw, easy. Like has been said. Go down and buy one first so you know what you are looking for. It's a quarter turn then it pulls out.
