Front transfer case blown seal

Going cross-country and noticed tranny fluid all over ground. got tow to nearest Ford Dealer. The truck only has 30,000 miles. (damed in accident, no warrenty. is this common for the 08' F250 SD. hopefully we noticed in tim and didnt ruin the front end trasfer case. Any info would be appreciated. On the good side weve traveled 3,000 miles on the trip and have been getting 15mpg.

Are you taking about the front axle differential?
There's only one transfer case and that's right behind the tranny.
If its the front axle then it will be a thicker oil and you're probably fine. Just need some fluid and reseal the front cover
