New transmission

Well the Ford Dealer put a brand new transmission in my truck. Said he charged Ford $4,900 for the new transmission. Thank God this was covered by warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!

It runs great now - with the new tranmission.

Glad to hear you got a new tranny! When they just work on them they seem to never be the same as new! You must have a pretty good dealer, good deal!

Same problem here. I'm on tranny number 5 and now it surges and slips. Today the towhaul light flashed 3 different times within 5 minutes and I restarted the truck everytime.

I gotta say that I wince every time I read threads from everyone here about major tranny and engine issues. I have already told the wife that if and when the tranny takes a dive, it's getting an ATS unit in it's place. Not really wanting to fork out my own cash for it, but I know that I will never have a propblem with it once it's done. hehe I hope I get a few more years out of the stocker though.

"ats sucks". Every manufacturer, every rebuilder at one time or another has a problem with there product. That's why we have warranties. Most of the time, the problems are taken care of. Sometimes a problem arises that is an absolute pain to the customer and the warranter. No one wins.
I've heard a lot more good about ats than bad but, I wouldn't buy one. I own Fleet Transmission, INC

If I remember correctly there was a guy on here that had put an ATS tranny in his truck and it blew out within 2 weeks. He called ATS and they wouldn't help him. They don't stand by there products from what I hear. Also too I was at a diesel event and a 99-02 Dodge with a bunch if ATS products and stickers on it did a run on the dyno and it put down 300HP. Thats pretty weak. The stickers should have at least put it at 325HP.
