park to drive delay
i got a 08 f350 diesel and when i go from park to drive its like a 5 second delay and then it jerks into gear. But when i go from park to reverse its fine. just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem before. thanks

Its probably on its way out to be honest. Change the fluid and add maybe half a quart extra and see if that helps. Only use mercon from ford. Delay is the universal signal on a 5r that its on its last leg, imo.

ya ford changed the fluid and filter and there was no metal in the pan that they told me and charge me a lot of money and they told me to bring it back after i put 200 miles on it if it still does which i think is wrong

Relying on the dealership for basic maintenance is an expensive handcuff.
A reman from ford is $3100 or so plus labor. Warren diesel builds them in the $4k range which is a good deal, outside of that you're in the $5500-$6500 range for a bts. Sent from my phone |
