Well...thank God I have a warranty...I'm putting my DPF back on and returning the truck to stock...the torque converter is givin me issues...at least that's what I've narrowed it down to. I've been running the H&S MiniMaxx with the Hot Damn tune (Don't change it on the fly very often) for about 4 months now. Truck has 45k miles on it. My truck is basically doing the same thing as this guys was...

TC slight vibration/noise when unlocking ~30mph

Anyway...my buddy at Ford told me to bring it in and that it sounds like the converter is going. He's even gonna hook me up with a 150 as a loaner. The tranny slipped a few times back when I bought it, but I just thought it was due to the tranny fluid leak it had that was fixed shortly after...maybe not.

I HOPE this isn't a sign of things to come...u all know how my luck was with the 6.0....if things go from bad to worse...I'll be getting out of the diesel game and finding myself an ecoboost!

Need more information before hits, do a relearn? Or any other common sense fixes or just felt something weird and take it straight to Ford? Most people forget that when installing h&s you change the trans, not just the engine, imho its a user problem with these trannys, unless you beat it up and don't give a damn about maintenance

mine did exactly the same thing. I changed the transmission tune and it went away.

If you have the $$ might want to consider upgrading to an RCD converter. They have gotten good reviews.

I'll NEVER buy, endorse, or do any business with RCD. They still owe me $2000 and don't stand behind their sh*tty product...if anything I'd go with Suncoast.

@JBurcham...I'll try changing the trans tuning, right now I'm running S2L...but we'll see. The truck only has 45k miles on it, I don't beat on it, and maintenance is done on schedule. U must not have been on this forum very long...if u had been you'd know i'm not an idiot and I don't just take my stuff to the dealer when I feel something weird. LOL It's not normal what it's doing...and I want any weak links fixed before the warranty runs out. If it's doing it now...then theres a weakness somewhere that needs to be addressed.

Yea, haven't been here long, this forum has more performance stuff on which I like, Imo I would do warranty first to, it's free!
