trans stuck in third gear

so just found out that the low reverse clutch pack is shot in my truck ford doesnt want to warrant it truck only has 39000 miles what to do

Why the warranty dispute?
because your past the 3/36 ? and didn't have an extended warranty

if so then you may try calling Ford customer service and asking for some kind of assistance .. but it's just a shot in the dark

Why wont they warranty it? Warranty should cover up to 100k miles on the powertrain.

I was told that it was from Pulling with the truck I just had a flex plate put in about 36000 and they keep telling me that it got hot from pulling stuff with the truck and I am in a long battle with ford customer relations as we speak

Maybe ask them what the hell the truck was made for? Since pulling things isnt part of what a diesel is made to do?!? Unless they can prove it was from abuse such as pulling a ridiculous amount of weight, etc I would go as high up as you can go. Maybe try a different dealership?

So my question is has anybody heard of this happening to These transmissions before and I am they are gonna pay to have it towed to another dealer as far as my problem goes I won't hear anything from them till Tommorow

A Flex plate is only implemented when when starting a vehicle ,, I can't see what any
issues would arise from towing/pulling but if your warranty was up at 3/36
you might be on your own

are the 08's 5/100k powretrain ? // my 06 was 3/36k powertrain and 5/100k motor

if your supposed to be covered ,, push this unless u are talking pulling as in not a trailer but a sled pull?

I'm talking as a trailer and it 10/100,000 power train the just won't cover it because of people who work at this dealership and ford is siding with them
